15 Champions Leagues in history, Bellingham on the rise, Mbappé in the squad. Our estimate gives 24% — clear favorite but not overwhelming.
Runner-up in 2024-25, Pep in charge, Haaland in form. 20% chance — solid but dependent on attack injuries.
Rebuilding post-Kane, but young and strong squad. 12% — value hidden by the market.
Without Mbappé, without Neymar, in total rebuild. 10% — just an outsider with upset potential.
Who will win the 2026/27 Champions League? Our analysis gives the odds
The 2026/27 Champions League starts in September and, as always, some clubs arrive as favorites. But who really has the best chance of lifting the trophy in May 2027? Our analysis — based on market odds, squad strength, season form, and competition history — estimates probabilities for the top 4 contenders.
Real Madrid, with 15 Champions Leagues in history, starts as clear favorite with 24% chance. Los Blancos have Bellingham on a meteoric rise, Mbappé finally at the Bernabéu (despite a disappointing World Cup), and the "Européisierung" culture — knowing how to win the Champions — that no other club on the planet has.
Manchester City comes second, with 20% chance. Pep Guardiola remains in charge, Haaland is in his best form (0.91 goals per game), and the squad is the deepest in Europe. But the Champions League is ungrateful to Pep: he has "only" 3 titles (2011, 2023, 2024) despite being considered the best coach in the world.
Bayern Munich emerges as the "value pick" of the season. Odds of 7.50 imply only 13.3%, but our analysis gives 12% — practically equal. Bayern is rebuilding post-Kane, but the young squad (Musiala, Wirtz, Pavlovic) has enough talent to go far.
PSG is the "expensive outsider". Odds of 8.00 imply 12.5%, but our analysis gives only 10% — the market still values PSG for the Mbappé/Neymar era, which ended. Without their stars, PSG is a mediocre club in the Champions, dependent on upsets.
But beware: our conviction here is medium. Variables like draw luck, injuries at critical moments, and refereeing can change everything. In 2024-25, Real Madrid won despite not being favorite against City in the quarterfinals. In 2012, Chelsea won with 12% pre-tournament chance according to similar models.
For professional bettors, the value is not in betting on the favorite (Real Madrid) — it is in identifying where the market errs. If you believe Bayern has more than 12% chance, there is value in betting on them at 7.50. Value bets are not about "who will win" — they are about "where the market is wrong".
